Project Manager for Historic and Adaptive-Reuse, Interior Designer – Downtown Los Angeles

Since its 2009 inception, this firm has established itself as a recognized firm in the Architecture and Interior Design culture of Downtown Los Angeles, providing services on over 250 buildings ranging from 950 square foot cafes to two-million square foot historic landmark adaptive reuse projects. The firm's breadth of completed work includes adaptive reuse multi-family housing, hotels, creative office, neighborhood restaurants and bars, historic theaters and furniture design. This firm strengthens urban communities through architecture and interior design, emphasizing the adaptive reuse and revitalization of existing buildings in Los Angeles.

Working here means you’ll dive into the extraordinary challenges of making new projects from existing structures. You’ll work closely with a range of city agencies and add to our collective understanding of all phases of design and construction. Right now, some of our largest and most complex adaptive-reuse work is moving into new phases, and many new projects are starting up. We’re looking for someone who understands what’s ahead. You will have overall project management responsibility for a variety of projects or project teams, including client contact, consultant coordination, city and/or county agency processing, scheduling and budgeting responsibilities.

Requirements include:
• An architectural/Interior architecture degree with 6+ years experience in an architectural or interior design office environment
• Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Design
• Strong design experience in hospitality and commercial projects and involved in all phases of design from concept through construction.
• Proficiency in Revit
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication and time management skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft office, Adobe Creative Suites, handsketches and computer renderings is a plus
• Experience in both existing and new construction a plus
• For Interior Design: Experience in developing FF&E packages including budget development and custom furniture design.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure team has project specific information in a timely manner
• Main client contact through all phases
• Attend all client meetings - Manage internal team members priorities and responsibilities.
• Maintain project on time and on budget
• Contribute design ideas
• Oversee and attend design presentations
• Responsible for design completeness and resolution of design
• Responsible for complete and thorough construction documents.
• Coordinate Consultant scopes in Agreements
• Oversee Senior Designer process of managing the plan check process
• Responsible for pass off of documents to administration team -Write Client agreements with Principal assistance - Must be able to manage multiple projects on tight schedules with a positive attitude.
• Must like dogs (there are three in the office)

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a benefit package with health insurance coverage. Dental and Vision optional. 401K after one year of employment.
